Division of Student Life:
Student Life (formerly known as Student Affairs) is the umbrella organization for all student support activity regardless of school or campus affiliation. The division includes all aspects of the student experience on campus, including Housing, Dining, Recreational Sports, University Health Service, and Student Organizations such as the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. The division is lead by a Vice-President who reports to the Regents.
Fraternity & Sorority Life:
Affiliation of Greek social organizations is coordinated through the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (formerly known as the Office of Greek Life). FSL works with the student leaders of the various Greek Organizations to manage and better themselves. Fraternities and sororities at the University of Michigan receive recognition from one the four Fraternity and Sorority Life councils (Chi Phi historically was recognized through the Interfraternity Council); they are also also required to be recognized by the University's Center for Campus Involvement.

First Year Experience [First Year Experience (FYE) is an office that creates a welcoming community for students in their transition to campus by engaging them in programs related to personal and academic growth, navigating campus resources, building meaningful connections with others, and prioritizing well-being.]
Policy & Procedures on Student Sexual & Gender-Based Misconduct & Other Forms of Interpersonal Violence (Enacted to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Education Announcement on Campus Sexual Misconduct and Title IX)
Information for Responsible Employees from U/M Office for Institutional Equity [The revised policy expanded the definition of 'responsible employees' for the purposes of reporting an incident. The new policy now mandates that advisors (does not include members of house corporation if they are not also members of the advising team) of recognized student organizations (not just fraternities, but all student groups, clubs, and teams) are to be considered 'responsible employees,' otherwise known as a mandatory reporter. This means that if a student comes to you with a report of sexual misconduct, gender-based misconduct, or interpersonal violence, that you must report it with the university.
